Calara Plaza is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Calaraplaza (calaraplaza.shop). We sell air purifiers and their filters, and we publish the running cost next to the purchase price because that is the number that decides whether a unit gets used or unplugged.
The number nobody puts on the box
An air purifier is sold on one figure — room coverage — and lived with on another: what the filters cost, and how often. A unit can be cheap on the shelf and expensive for three years, or the reverse, and nothing on the front of the carton tells you which you are holding.
The result is a cupboard full of purifiers running with saturated filters, doing very little. People do not stop replacing filters because they are careless. They stop because nobody told them the filter was a subscription before they bought the machine.
So this shop publishes filter class and filter service life on every product page, stocks the replacements for what it sells, and says which layer saturates first. It is less exciting than a wellness claim and considerably more useful.

Specifications as published
Coverage, filter class, noise range, power draw and filter life — listed as the maker publishes them. Where a figure is not published we leave it blank instead of estimating it.
No health claims
We do not say a purifier treats, prevents or cures anything. Filtration reduces airborne particulate in the room it runs in. That is the whole claim, and we hold to it.
Sealed box, double-boxed
We never open the retail box to test a unit. It ships factory-sealed inside a corrugated shipper, so the seal — and your position with the maker — reaches you intact.
Filters stocked, not orphaned
We keep replacement filters for the models we list. Selling an appliance and abandoning its consumable is the fastest way to make a customer regret the purchase.
Our story
The business came out of electricals — selling, delivering and being called back about appliances in Jaipur. Purifiers were the category where the call-backs had a pattern. Almost nobody rang about a machine that had failed. They rang because it had stopped seeming to do anything, and nine times out of ten the answer was a saturated carbon layer, or a filter still sealed in the plastic it shipped in.
Both problems are information problems. So when the shop moved online we made the specification carry the weight: what the unit covers, what the filter is rated at, how long it lasts, what the replacement costs. We also started saying out loud that coverage numbers come from test chambers rather than from rooms with open windows and a door to the kitchen.
The last piece was packing. A purifier in a scuffed retail box is a returned purifier, even when the machine is perfect. So every unit goes out double-boxed and unopened, and we ask for thirty seconds of unboxing video — which is what settles a transit-damage claim with a courier.
How we work, in practical terms
- Online only. Calara Plaza runs entirely online, with no showroom or service centre. Orders are dispatched from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- Shipping. Free at ₹5,999 and above; flat ₹149 below that. Handling 1 to 2 business days, then transit 3 to 9 business days.
- Returns. 7 days from delivery on unused units complete in the original box, refunded within 10 business days.
- Payment. UPI or Cash on Delivery, in Indian rupees. No cards, no PayPal, no EMI, no stored payment details.
- On arrival. Check the outer carton before accepting, film the unboxing, and report any damage within 48 hours.
- Warranty. Where the maker offers one, the card in the box governs it. We cover condition on arrival.
What we will not do
We will not imply that an appliance treats a medical condition. We will not print a coverage figure the maker has not published. We will not describe a laboratory number as a room result. And we will not sell a purifier whose replacement filter we cannot supply.
